Juliana Chin
Juliana Chin is a creative producer of film and music events and co-company director of Laneway Productions, founded in 2008. Originating from New Zealand, Juliana graduated from Otago University majoring in History and Theory of Film and started her career working on a production level with award winning advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi and one of New Zealand's leading Film & Television production houses, Gibson Group.
Juliana then moved to Melbourne in 1998 to study film at Swinburne University, after graduating she went on to work in film production with Australian producers Andrew Wiseman and Richard Keddie of Apollo Films, on numerous film and television projects including the award winning television series After the Deluge (2003). Juliana has over five years of programming & event experience at the Melbourne International Film Festival as Program Manager. Concurrently she has been the programmer at the unique Rooftop Cinema in Melbourne since the summer of 2007.
Juliana has worked as a 1st AD and Production Manager on numerous short films, commercials and music videos; as a Production Manager for SBS television and as film workshop manager for Arts Victoria.
Michelle Fillery
Michelle is an independent creative producer and co-company director of Laneway Productions founded in 2008. Michelle began her career in theatre at Shopfront Theatre for Young People and the Powerhouse Youth Theatre in Sydney, as a workshop coordinator.
From 2004 to 2008, Michelle was with the Melbourne International Film Festival, one of the most prestigious film festivals in the Asia-Pacific region, starting out in Marketing and Promotions and then moving on to managing the MIFF shorts program. Michelle also managed the esteemed industry program for emerging Australian filmmakers, Accelerator and The Travelling Film Festival.
Michelle has worked in a variety of roles for artistic and cultural organisations and in various locations including the British Council film and literature department in Edinburgh and London, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and the New South Wales Film and Television Office, co-ordinating the Young Filmmakers Fund.
